Multi-location

Multi-location biometric attendance system

The month a business opens its second location, its attendance system quietly stops working. Not technically — it still records punches. But somebody now spends two days consolidating exports, and the branches have started counting late marks differently.

A multi-location attendance system puts every branch into one register while letting each site run independently day to day. AionHRMS gives each location its own terminals and local administrators, computes attendance and salary by the same rules everywhere, and shows head office a combined view. Staff who move between locations are enrolled once, and mixed hardware brands across sites are supported in the same account.

What breaks at the second site

The failure is organisational rather than technical, which is why it takes a year to notice and then becomes urgent all at once.

  • Two exports in two formats, reconciled by hand every month
  • Two employee lists that drift apart
  • Branches applying different grace periods, so late marks are not comparable
  • No answer to 'how many people were present across the company yesterday'
  • A transferred employee re-enrolling their fingerprint at the new site

How scoping works

Central visibility is only useful if it does not require central administration. Each site has to be able to run itself.

  • Site administrators manage their own employees and devices
  • Head office sees every location in one register
  • Rules — grace period, late thresholds, paid leave — applied consistently
  • Adding a location does not mean a new installation or a new login

Transfers and shared staff

People move between sites constantly — for a sale, a shutdown, a relief shift — and re-enrolment at each one is the tax that makes multi-site biometrics feel not worth it.

  • Templates stored centrally and pushed to whichever sites a person needs
  • Punches at any authorised site land in the same personal record
  • Access at a site withdrawn when the posting ends, without touching the device
  • Every punch records which terminal and which site it came from

Frequently asked questions

Is each branch a separate account or one account?
One account, with each branch as its own location holding its own terminals and administrators. Head office sees all of them together.
Can branches in different states be in one account?
Yes. State boundaries affect your statutory registrations, not your attendance software.
Do we pay per branch?
Pricing is per site with unlimited employees and unlimited terminals at that site.
Can a regional manager see three branches but not the rest?
Access is scoped by role. Tell us the shape of your hierarchy and we will confirm exactly what is supported today rather than describe it in the abstract.

Put your existing biometric machines on the cloud

Keep the hardware. Add cloud enrollment, multi-device sync and attendance your HR team can actually read.
